France

In the 1990s the French Association of Friends of the Orient (AFAO) and the French Institute of Oriental Studies (EFEO) sponsored a catalogue of the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture. It  was printed for the first time in French in 1997.

Following the visit to France in October 2002 of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mr. Tran Duc Luong, a  cultural cooperation project was signed by the two g overnment. The Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture  loaned  48 works for the exhibition "Art treasures of Vietnam: Champa Sculpture", at the Guimet Museum, Paris, from 12 October 2005 to 06 February 2006. "This exhibition forms part of a collaboration between Vietnam and France and, more particularly, between the Da Nang Museum and the Guimet Museum. In 2002, the installation of a sculpture restoration workshop in the Da Nang Museum on the instigation of the Guimet Museum, led to the strengthening of ancient cultural links between Vietnam and France" (www.guimet.fr/Art-treasures-of-Vietnam-Champa).

The Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture is participating in a French - Vietnam cooperation project (le projet FSP - Fonds de Solidarité Prioritaire - de  Revalorisation du Patrimoine Muséographique Vietnamien) for restoration of objects and renovation of presentation in the museum.

Japan

The Toyota Foundation sponsored a Cham relics cooperative research project and donated photographs of Cham Towers. These are on display at the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture.

Australia

 In 1997, the  University of Western Sydney and the Art Gallery of New South Wales began working with the DMCS and sent scholars to do research and support the training of the staff of DMCS.

The United States

The Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation financed a project for research into the Kate ceremony and costumes of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province. A collection of instruments, costumes  and photographs of the Kate ceremony are now on display in the DMCS.

The Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture is preparing to loan  ten works for exhibition in New York and Houston in 2009. This is being coordinated by the Asia Society Museum.

European Union

The Danang Museum of Cham Sculpture sent two works to the exhibition " Vietnam - the Past and the Present" at the Brussels Royal Museum of Art and History (Belgium) and the Vienna Museum of Ethnology (Austria) from 2003 -2005.

Cambodia

In cooperation with France, the DMCS received Cambodian conservators from the National Museum in Phnom Penh to exchange experiences in conservation of stone artefacts and to work together with the museum staff.

India

In 2004, a conservator  from the DMCS went to Hyderabad to study English in  a program sponsored by the Indian Government.

In 2008, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Viet Nam nominated the DMCS as one of the museums to participate in the Cultural Exchange Programme between India and Viet Nam.This program involves the exchange of high quality art publications and colour reproductions of important museum objects.
